High Guard Gloves V3

Upgraded from a set of rapier gloves to these for my Saber training. The protection is excellent. Took several previously-painful hits with no issue at all. They're a little bulky and stiff right out the box but they break in pretty nicely while still protectin all the vulnerable points of the hand. The cuff very slightly limits outside wrist mobility but not in any way I would consider impactful.

These are a fantastic medium/heavy fencing glove. They’re comfortable to wear and allow for a good level of dexterity of the fingers for sidesword.

Ignore the reviews saying they're too stiff, they just have a bit of a break in period. Or do what I did and leave them in a hot car and they won't be stiff at all. Work great for sidesword.

Way too stiff. I feel like I am at such a disadvantage by wearing these since I have to put so much effort into just keeping a good grip on my sword. I would have returned them, but since I had seen reviews saying they were good once broken in, I kept them thinking they would get better. But now I have been using them for several months and they are not much better than when I bought them.
