They are designed for all rapier, saber, singlestick, sidesword, shortsword, and arming sword sparring. They are safer than red Dragon gloves, sport lacrosse and hockey gloves. They will fit in most saber guards. They are not designed for longsword sparring, but light/moderate training will be fine.

Needs to be broken in
I got medium ones, my hands are slightly smaller than the gloves. The material needs to be broken in a little to fit and hold sideswords nicely with finger gripping the hilt.

Great gloves for SCA Cut and Thrust
I returned the Red Dragon gloves and switched to the High Guard gloves. For the small difference in price, these are a HUGE upgrade. The break-in period was rather quick and the protection is adequate for lower calibration long sword. They are super comfortable and made well. Excellent Glove for Synthetics and Complex Hilts
I have been using this glove primarily for use in TSL, and am very happy. The dexterity in after a short break in is excellent, and the protection provided is perfect for the weapons above. These are great for the price
They comfortable and solidly made. I only have a few protection concerns that should be covered by most complex hilts or knuckle bows. all in all I am super excited to get them broken in and see how they sand up and if they shift or break.

Excellent glove
These are a reasonably priced, excellent solution for single sword practitioners who wany excellent protection plus good mobility with their sideswords, sabers and arming swords.
