This is a two-volume set.
Volume 1 includes a full English translation of Meyer’s 1570 treatise by Dr. Rebecca L. R. Garber, a full German transcription by Michael Chidester, and an extensive introduction by Chris VanSlambrouck.
Volume 2 includes all 63 of Tobias Stimmer’s prints in two versions—a full-size black and white version with all of the backgrounds removed so the fencers are more clearly visible, and the lavishly-painted versions from the Leipzig University copy reproduced at 150%—as well as an index of all references to each figure, and appendices containing the illustrations from the Munich, Lund, and Rostock manuscripts.
