Description Sizing

Steel Viking Trainer made by Viktor Berbekucz in Hungary.

The light version was developed for Codex Belli, with 3 mm (vs. 4mm) blade thickness and narrow fuller.
Used for Western style fighting, where little armour is used, so the light weight allows greater control than the renactment level sword.

This type of sword can be found in several European museums indicating how popular it was throughout Europe. ex. Nationalmuseet, Copenhagen.

In Hungary it can be discovered within the Szob-Vendelin Collection.

Petersen type: S
Pommel type: III

6 Month Warranty: DETAILS HERE

Used by the International army of Jomsborg and used at Moesgaard in Denmark.

5 of 5 Much lighter May 25, 2023

These are a the same maker as the long swords, they are spring steel and very light due to the fuller and the blade thickness. The blades are very durable as they have thick blunt edges that have been properly tempered.

5 of 5 Great Viking sword for SCA rapier August 30, 2021
Reviewer: december from ,
This is my second purchase of this sword.  Again, basic but well made and of course made for SCA/HEMA.  For SCA it took a bit to get a rubber blunt on, but it can be done.  I went to an SCA rapier practice.  Everyone liked the sword.  I would have gotten the 9th but currently out.  Good for Viking/Saxon/Norman persona.  Enough flex (both mine with 6oz) flexed the minimum of an inch (listed as 0.75).

5 of 5 Fantastic and beautiful sword! June 2, 2021
Reviewer: Charles from Indiana
This sword is fantastic for SCA-style cut and thrust. The measurements and parameters are precisely as described and the fit and finish are very well done. It does a decent job of replicating the feel of a viking-era sword. The grip is a little long and the balance point is a few inches closer to the hilt than was period, but these changes make it more comfortable to handle than a period sword would be.

Personally I find this hilt design to be beautiful. It is a smidge heavier than the sword with the type H pommel and has a balance point a cm or two closer to the guard- almost certainly on account of the slightly larger pommel.

At half the price of any comparable competitor's sword this delivers at least equal quality. I heartily recommend it.
