A note about 350N vs. 1600N. This is very misunderstood, and taking over as a 'safety feature' in Canada and Europe. Not the USA yet. A rating of 1600N on the mask is about the BIB ONLY. The mesk, the plastic would be rated multi-thousands. You can't cut the plastic and mesh. The 1600N bib material is a stronger cut fabric. Yes it is. In 25+ years in the fencing/HEMA industry I have never seen an injury or failure of the bib. Maybe on extremely poorly maintained mask it could tear, but I've never seen it as a issue. If groups are requiring this standard, then be ready to pay more, for minimal safety improvement.
FIE rating is different and has some other safety improvements. It also basically triples the cost of the mask, and involves paying off some governmental entity.

Measure your head using a soft tape measure. Lay the tape measure underneath your chin, up one side of the head at the ear, over the top of the head, down the other side of the head at the ear, and ending back at your chin. Keep the tape measure fairly firm for an accurate measure.
