Love the craftsmanship it took to make this sword. I personally haven't used it yet, but it does feel comfy in the ol' hands. Personally, the handle is large enough to use with both my hands (it'll be different for everyone) but no complains here.

Blade is perfect! Except…
So I’ve received my Persian shamshir and it is almost perfect but very fun to spar and train with. The only problems that I have is the handle is very bottom heavy that makes the blade quite heavy but it balances out with the blade. The second issue that I had was the stiffness of the blade, but it is a curved blade so I guess it shouldn’t be much of a problem or difference. And finally, my sh

Shamshir steel trainer
Feels heavier than the advertised 1 lb. 9 oz. Handle is a bit long, too. The leather stitching has a large welt on the bottom of the grip, very irritating without some type of glove.

I had my doubts originally but it has stood up very well. It is blade heavy but other than that it's a hidden gem.
