Soft Rubber Grip 12
The rattan is light and is will absorb impact. We select the best and only send out the sizes that meet our specs. These are typically used for more intense bouting and those wanting quicker blade work.

The curve makes it less bouncy than straight rattan. You can go very fast, and they are not punishing. Realistic curve for Polish sabre or using a 1796 sabre.

We offer a rubber grip as an upgrade. Really makes a difference in the gripping and overall feel of the trainer. You can also use grip wrap, leather, athetic tape to modify yourself.
36.5" long from tip to rear of hand guard.

10/10 for rattan sparring

However, given the very deep curve in the blade, it is more like an Indian talwar.I opted for the rubber grip upgrade. It locks the hand into a hammer grip, great for swinging from the shoulder, a real chopper.Nice weight, handles well. But I'm deducting a

Could use some improvement
For light sparring and drilling, they're ok. I'll likely be using them mostly as drilling weapons for new fencers. I ordered two pairs- a pair with the rubber grips, and a pair without. The rubber grips are pretty nice, though they shift around a little bit sometimes. A big issue with the design however is that they all had a sizable gap between the blade and top of the knucklebow, allowing an opp
