Back folded: To this day, we consider this to be the safest type of tip. As far as we know, it is accepted in all tournament.
Rounded: The tip of the blade is simply rounded. Needs additional protection to use in free sparring. Not suitable for tournaments.
Spatulated: New generation tip, opinions are divided, we only recommend it to those who know what they are looking for. Its acceptance in tournaments varies. Only available for our flexible blades.

Just what I wanted
I love this sword! I'm a bit picky about my swords, so the custom order option was right up my alley. I got mine with the shortest blade option and the longest grip. That ensured a few different things. 1) it will easily meet the length requirements for mixed steel events, since most of them max out at a 36 inch blade, and mine is 33.4. 2) The POB is closer to the hand.
