Sidesword, Chevalier, Custom Build

The Adventurous Path

The Chevalier sidesword represents an excellent level-up in terms of hand safety and was inspired by 16th century’s originals, featuring more defensive hilts and fancy curved quillons. The protection offered by the double small ports cover both sides of the hand while the blade shows authority in bindings and agility in thrusts. The Chevalier is specifically designed for Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) and is an excellent pairing with our buckler, targa, parrying dagger or a cape.

• Agile and versatile: Around 1.2 kilograms, it adapts perfectly to Renaissance fencing techniques
• Fully Ambidextrous
• Heat-treated crossguard and blade
• Diamond wide blade: Offers superior control in binding and fluid cutting motion
• Comfortable ricasso:Rounded ricasso enhances grip comfort.
• Blunt edges, high flexibility and thickened tip: Prioritizes safety in HEMA training and competition
• Historical design with modern upgrades: Inspired by originals and training swords from the first half of the 16th century, designed specifically for Historical European Martial Arts and Historical Fencing

The Chevalier sidesword combines versatility for the modern fencer, and those who value historical refinement, crafted for seamless integration with various companion tools—whether wielding a buckler, targa, parrying dagger, or a case of swords.
