Arming Sword, Liutger, MM

The Art of “Obsessio”
The Liutger Arming Sword is inspired by the iconic “Moonbrand” – Ewart Oakeshott’s favourite sword from his personal collection – and sword & buckler illustrations like the ones in the famous London Tower Fecthbuch MS I.33 (1270-1320). The large blade features one fuller and the optional leather chape at the crossguard is extremely useful to accommodate the thumb and enhance the blade’s control. The original anatomy was specifically adjusted and proportioned for Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) in order to enhance both performance and handling

MM Liutger
Incredible balance, finish and sounds are the main standouts of this blade. It is a bit short when compared with similar arming swords but is an absolute joy to spar with.
