Received my sword and love the weight and feel of it. It is great quality and have already been using it for reenactment fight training.

5 of 5 A great fighting sword for Eastren style February 23, 2024

This is the second Viking style sword I've purchased from Purple Heart. Both are spectacular pieces, that take a good amount of abuse. They are a little light compared to their "real" counterparts, but this allows for better control when striking lightly armored opponents.
Absoblutely love them.
Ordering from Purple Heart was straight forward, with the processing and shipping being reasonably fast.
I will be buying my replacements from them, and I strongly recommend them for anyone getting into the sport.

5 of 5 Looks and feels fantastic September 6, 2023

I'm new to buying sparring swords but this was armory was given props at my group and I have been able to use this sword in competition. It is weighty, sturdy, with good balance and very little flex.

I expect this sword to last a long time even with repeated use.

5 of 5 Great sword - very fast shipping May 1, 2023
Reviewer: Joshua Schnoop from Clearwater, FL United States
I purchased this sword for Eastern and Western style viking combat reenactment as it is a good standard sword for my Dublin kit and both the peterson type S as well as purple heart armory were recommended to me by my fellow reenactors with Myrrlag of the Jomsborg vikings.

It came several days earlier than expected and was well packaged. I've only had the opportunity to use it a few times so far but it has a nice lightweight, great balance, so far it's everything I've wanted in a sword and then some and I'll be ordering again in the future should I need another or any other weapon for that matter!
