We were motivated by our customers to develop our brand new model. We felt there was a growing demand for stronger and even safer suspensions as our customers intended our sword scabbards for everyday use. Prior to their request, we developed our model with a double suspension, inspired by scabbards made in the 13th-15th centuries.
The scabbards are made of wood and are coated with genuine leather of 2 mm thickness which is glued to the wood and handsawn at the back. The suspension is made of 3.5 mm thick strap leather. These scabbards come in standard sizes or can be custom made. The measurements of the sword are needed before order.
There is no compromise on the quality of the raw materials we use. These are always selected manually, paying attention to the smallest details. In our workshop we use only vegetable tanned cowhide, the copper accessories are also 100% custom made.
At the moment they can be ordered in the following colours: black, brown, red, blue and green.
As with all our products, we use the world's leading thread, Lin Cable, for hand sewing, while the edges of the chapes are treated with special edge dye. Silky-coated paint retains its unique durability over the years.
Available for any sword. Regenyei swords are easier to do, as the factories are near each other. But can be done for any sword if we have the dimensions.
Rubber blunts will need to be removed from your sword for it to fit.
Be advised: The scabbard(s) you receive might vary slightly from the product pictures due to the nature of being 100% handmade item(s). This mostly goes for the actual leather and the final color of the leather dye.
