Sabre "D" Guard

Product Code: VB.Sabre.Polish.D
Wider blade Sabre made for Purpleheart Armoury by VB in Hungary.

Mostly designed for a hilt that large SPES gloves can fit into for maximum hand protection. The D-hilt or Stirup guard is based on a couple designs like the 1796/1803 light cavalry saber, or an Austria-Hungarian sabre also has a similar hilt.

The blade has a nice deep curve, more than our other wider military sabre.

V5 - We have done lots of prototypes over the last year to get this right.

Pretty good
I have had this saber for a while, fits heavy gloves, good weight (on the heavier side), not super flexible but not too stiff. My biggest issue is that after a few years (1 tournament and occasional medium to heavy sparring) I already have a pretty decent amount of damage to the hilt and blade, just waiting for it to brake but it has held up so far.

Wonderful Sword

The only thing is there's not a ton of those out there that are accessible, good quality, and ship to The States. All I ke

VB Saber
Jumped on this saber as soon as I was notified that it was in stock. Received it in under a week which is remarkable considering I ordered it close to a holiday weekend. The saber itself is wonderfully balanced and fits comfortably in my hand. The guard is large enough to accommodate my SPES heavies which is exactly what I was looking for

Saber
Very nice saber especially for the price. The flex is pretty good, lighter than advertised too. While it isn't the nicest handling saber (VB Hungarian handles way better) it does very well.

Good training sabre
Looks and feels good. Guard is large enough to fit heavy gloves. Blade is a bit stiff but not so much to be unsafe. Balance feels good for a cavalry sabre. I definitely recommend it especially for the price
