This is a hand and a half sword, also known as a bastard sword.

Sometimes called an arming sword when used by a mounted knight, the shortsword was used on battlefields from the 12th to the 15th century. A roundel or buckler was also common among fighters of that time.

Hand & A Half Waster

Arrived today. UPS gorillas used the box as a boxing bag, but the Easter is in perfect condition. Wonderful product, closely matches dimensions of my steel hand and a half. Thank you!

Beautiful Wooden Swords

HEMA novice here, but always wanted a good sword. The synthetic swords are more varied and maybe more practical for hard training, however these wooden swords look beautiful and feel great. My sons and I have had a good time battling it out in the backyard. These are exactly right for us.

Amazing!

This is my first proper Wooden hand and a half waster and I must say, this is amazing!It just arrived today, here in australia (took a few weeks due to overseas) and I must say feels really nice, albeit a bit heavy since I never held one before and my only experience being a cheaper wooden Katana.Great quality so far!
