Great blade for slashing, the only problem is that it does not flex on thrusts and almost every other blade I've looked at on this site specifies when a blade does not flex on thrusts. This one does not say it in the desciption. If I had known that this was the case with this blade, it would not have been my choice because of the safety requirements for the group I practice with. As such I haven't been able to use it a single time at practice and yet I also can't return it for a different blade without paying return shipping at a cost that just about equals the price of the blade, so there is no point in returning it anyways.

We have previously done boffer weapon combat, and these were a great step up as we are looking to join a HEMA group. They're durable, nice quality for the price, and work for everyone in our small group who range from 5-6 feet tall. Shipping was fast. We are already discussing what to purchase next.

Thankyou for having the will and inventiveness to develop a training weapon to emulate the size and shape of a celtic anthropomorphic sword. The material is durable and flexible nylon, great for safely learning form and movement against an opponent.  It will take some knocks but be prepared to  file out dints and scratches that may become abrasive.
