Incredibly happy with my new sword. Well crafted, beautiful! Took delivery on Wednesday, tipped it on Friday and used it Saturday. Only downside was that the website shopping cart didn't figure the postage/delivery costs. Customer service was very helpful. Thank you!

It's been about a month since I've started sparring with my kriegsmesser.Overall I would highly recommend the VB Kriegsmesser to anyone who is interested. The balance and weight feel perfect, it has great presence in the bind, and holds its own against heavier longswords pretty well. I have no regrets about it and it has quickly become my favorite sword. It's also light enough to pull off some one-handed techniques if you are inclined. Definitely well-constructed and I will be keeping VB in mind for future messer purchases. One thing to note is that the crossguard developed a noticeable rattle after the first few rounds of sparring. I managed to easily fix it with fishing line, a suggestion I received from PHA, so that is something to expect. I opted for the wood scales for the aesthetic but I think I would recommend getting the hilt wrapped for improved grip. I also have a feeling that the wrap could help prevent the rattle but I don't know for sure.

I've been wanting a kriegsmesser for a while, and someone in my club bought the one here. He recommended it, so I also purchased it. It is light and quick to use, nicely balanced and responds nicely. I would definitely recommend it as an entrance kriegsmesser for sure.

I ordered this sight unseen. I knew I was taking a big chance but did it ever pay off! It's not only beautiful, it handles like a dream! The grip is the perfect length for heavy gloves. This sword is wall balanced and highly agile, and the fuller gives it just enough stiffness. VB, you've hit this one out of the ballpark! Kudos!
