The staff is perfectly straight so it's easy to move hand positions and it has a decent heft to it. Not too heavy to be unwieldy, not too light that it fails to make a dent on impact. The wood is solid and doesn't look it will crack or break anytime soon.If you're looking for a big stick, you can't go wrong with this one. Definitely the best big stick I've ever bought!

Really pleased with the staff, it feels much more lively than my previous 6" staff from a different vendor. Just getting used to it but I can already tell that having a proper length staff for some of the techniques is going to make a huge difference. Plus, this staff just sings. I know there is a big difference in feel when a sword is correct, didn't know you'd get a similar feel from a staff. Very satisfied.
