This series of staves are made with 2 layers of impact grade hickory laminated together to 1" (25mm) diameter..

This series of staves are made with 2 layers of impact grade hickory laminated together to form a strong, straight and defect free staff. This is the best wood possible for martial arts use. The hickory is strong, yet it is flexible to not be brittle when struck against other equipment. We hand oil at least 2 coats of a boiled linseed/mineral spirits mixture.

Amazing staff and service

The customer service is as amazing as their products themselves. They were excellent at quickly coordinating sending a replacement staff when the original staff was damaged by USPS during transportation.

Very good quality

Very good quality, perfectly straight. Only slight flaw is that it is a bit rough in a few places, but will be an easy fix with a quick sanding.

I ordered a Staff - Laminated Hickory - Round Bo 1" x 60" (5ft) A week later I wrote back requesting shipping & tracking informationTheir reply was they will try to get one made over the next weekTwo weeks after placing order I receive receipt & trackingUPS was normal shippingWhat I received:The surface was unfinished & roughThere was no oil on itIt had a more that one-inch bowThey wrote this off as temperature & humidity difference during shippingI was very disappointed it this productMy guess is this review will not be posted on their web page
