This oval 1 x 1-3/8" staff is about the same weight as the 1.25" round. Heavier than the more popular 1-1/8" quarterstaff. So pick according to your strength.

Excellent oval quarterstaff
I ordered and recieved a oval 7' quaterstaff. Great quality. Simple process to order. However I found the engraving option coming after order to be a bit odd. Automated message coming after ordering asking if the customer wants their item engraved can cause a few to miss it. I however did not desire engraving. I do wish there was an option to request for a thicker cut for the qauterstaffs. I have
Recentley ordered two seven-foot Hickory Staves. Arrived on schedule. Very well made. I am a professional sculptor myself and often work with wood, but these staves were well worth the price and extra shipping to have them made by people who specialize in this type of material selection, laminating and shaping. Highly Recommend them to anyone interested in this form of staff.

Took forever and both were warped
It took long enough that I wasn't sure that I actually ordered them and when they arrived both had a deep warp. These were gifts so I was pretty disappointed.

Oval staff
What a treat to find a group of craftsman who make great products at fair prices. All of my previous purchases were wonderful and this is no different. Opposing grain lines for strength and terrific surface finish.
