Hard to insert in rapier glove. Do you need a size larger glove than usual?

Needs trimming.
In order to be able to properly grip my sword hilt, I had to trim the finger tip protectors to custom length so they didn't inhibit movement of the first finger joint.However, they do what they're supposed to. They keep finger tips safe from impact.
