The roughneck is the minimum protection I would use, But it is a good minimum. If you are looking for something small and unobtrusive, And don't want to spend a fortune, And don't particularly care about full all the way around coverage, This definitely does the trick. You barely notice it, but it's sturdy enough to take a hit from the front or part of the sides.
