Price: $240.00

Description SIZING

This fencing jacket was designed with the help and suggestions of Axel Pettersson, to serve the needs of the Swedish schools of historical fencing ("Gothenburg Historical Fencing School" in particular). The jacket closes in front (see the picture) with the help of a zipper and velcro. On the front of the collar, there is a broad overlap which closes with velcro. The sleeves are specially designed for better arm movement. Also, there are additional protective layers on the chest, shoulders and elbows. The layers of fabric (from the outside) are: 2 layers of cotton, one protective layer, and 1 layer of cotton lining. The jacket was tested at many seminars since 9/11/11 by Axel Pettersson and others.

Absurdly good October 21, 2015

I really was amazed with how well the medium fit me, considering my small build. (5/11, 140lb)

I couldn't have gotten this thing to fit better even if I ordered it custom from EU.

Nearly Perfect July 18, 2015

The protective quality on the torso and neck line is unmatched by anything I've worn so far, and the whole piece sits comfortably on the body, without feeling necessarily "weighty." The arms, though a bit stiff, have a natural spring to them, as if the sleeves want to strike out before returning comfortably to a resting position. It's a stylish piece, and it looks good on anybody.

Whatever issues I have are very minor. Heat is an issue with any jacket, and this one is no exception, but it isn't as bad it could be, as you're still able to breathe just fine. The elbow lining has a seam that rubs uncomfortably on your arm if you aren't wearing it in just the right position, though I'm sure this will remedy itself over time. Lastly, the jacket is rather tough to put on and take off by yourself, especially after a fight that left the inside lining sticky from steam and sweat, but this gets easier with experience.
