A MUST HAVE December 6, 2016
Reviewer: John Durish from Springfield, VA United States
On Sunday, 4 Dec 2016, I took a shot to the hand, shattering the plastic protector. I have no doubt the SPES protector saved me from a broken finger. If you HEMA, you must have these or something like them.

They so what they are supposed to November 21, 2016

These work the way they are supposed to protect by distributing out a blow or absorbing it into the glove but I dislike the general shape on them. I have made some of my own out if HDPE for free that I find more useful and typically don't even use these.

Decieiving product November 7, 2016

Note that these are half-cup hard plastic end caps, not a rubbery plastic that goes around your whole finger. The picture is really deceiving imho.

Tried these with red dragon gloves and found some problems. First, after some use you tend to have your fingers getting under the caps which is rather uncomfortable and would be very painful if taking a hit to the hand. Second, they're just so bloody uncomfortable.

Safety comes above all so I would maybe consider putting them back in if I was using long sword rather than sabre, but at that point you should be using shell gloves instead, right?

Fingertip Protection November 1, 2016
Reviewer: Felix Delacruz from La Jolla, CA United States
I got hit in the fingertips before and it's not pleasant. lol. I got these to go with my gloves and man I wish I had these that day I got hit. A little goes a long way and these help add a little extra protection where all gloves are lacking. Worth the wait.

High Effectiveness, Mediocre Comfort September 30, 2016
Reviewer: Chris Cather from San Diego, CA United States
These little beauties have done very well in saving my poor little fingertips. Unfortunately, they are not designed for comfort, so you will likely have to modify them slightly with a heat gun to mold them better to your fingers, trimming corners or padding the insides slightly.

When all is said and done, it was definitely worth getting a set of these!
