good protection cheap February 13, 2017

happy  to have a full set and   some extras.  I   lose these   periodically, then find them clustered three  weeks   later  in the bottom of  my kit bag, having  a little chat  about how happy they are to be out of the smelly glove....  For what they cost, its worth having spares

Good, but not ideal for *really* small hands February 8, 2017
Reviewer: Heather Freeman from Charlotte, NC United States
I wanted to place one of these in the thumb of my SPES Heavy gloves (size small).  The smallest finger protector, however, is still too big to fit in the thumb, and fairly loose on my thumb as well. Sure, there's not a ton of women with tiny hands doing HEMA, but it would be handy (ha-ha) to have these in smaller sizes. I imagine there are some men who might wish there were larger ones as well!

That aside, however, they're sturdy, and I'm sure they'd do the job for "average man sized hands".

Excellent idea, some effort to actually use. December 20, 2016
Reviewer: J. Reis from St. Louis, MO United States
These proved too large to fit into the gloves with which I intended to use them. The problem was the height of the protectors (that is the distance from the edge of the open bottoms to the tops covering one's fingernails). The finger protectors are all the same size (save the large thumb covers) while the fingers of pretty much all gloves are not, thus protectors which fit perfectly the index finger will badly stretch out the ring & little finger portions of your gloves. In turn, gloves large enough to accommodate the pinky protector are much too large overall to fit the hand properly.

I might have been able to trim or otherwise reshape these to work, but I chose not to go through the effort (hopefully the universe will not repay me with a finger injury). I eventually got the protectors worked into a pair of old work gloves for use with singlestick, where I expect they can do some good.

A MUST HAVE December 6, 2016
Reviewer: John Durish from Springfield, VA United States
On Sunday, 4 Dec 2016, I took a shot to the hand, shattering the plastic protector. I have no doubt the SPES protector saved me from a broken finger. If you HEMA, you must have these or something like them.
