4 of 5 Great Sword March 12, 2020

My son will be using this during IceBreaker.  The weight is about 4.5" in front of the crossguard and moves very well.  In light gloves, I can put two fingers in front of the crossguard and it moves very quickly.  Overall, I would buy again.  And, still might get one for me, too.

3 of 5 Not bad, not great. January 4, 2020

A pretty solid sidesword for the price, however, there’s better options out there for the same price.

I may have gotten a lemon, but I found the hilt to be large and uncomfortable, even in gloves or gauntlets. And the overall weapon is a bit too heavy, leading to it feeling rather sluggish. However, the trade off is that it appears to be virtually indestructible due to the chunky and heavy guard and blade.

Good for training and learning, the weight and huge guard makes it feel a bit clumsy for sparring.

4 of 5 Great sword for the price February 14, 2019
Reviewer: Richard Dobson from California
If you are looking for an inexpensive sidesword for Bolognese or the like this is a very good choice. The blade is well made and tempered, the fit is excellent,  and the balance is good. The finish is bare bones on the crossguard but that's part of the trade off for the price. It could be a little lighter, some people might want a bit more weight in the pommel, but this is a well made, sword that should give years of service.
