Steel Viking Trainer Light, made by Viktor Berbekucz in Hungary.

The light version was developed for Codex Belli, with 3 mm (vs. 4mm) blade thickness and narrow fuller. Used for Western style fighting, where little armour is used, so the light weight allows greater control than the renactment level sword.

Petersen-Type: H
Pommel type: II

Exactly what I needed! Plenty of spring in the blade. Light enough for fast, precise attacks but solid enough and wonderfully balanced to support stalwart defense. This sword is the ideal channel for integrating the Nordic warrior spirit with the quick, controlled Western style of swordsmanship! Skål!

5 of 5 Excellent and exactly as described! June 2, 2021

This sword is fantastic for SCA-style cut and thrust. The measurements and parameters are precisely as described and the fit and finish are very well done. It does a decent job of replicating the feel of a viking-era sword. The grip is a little long and the balance point is a few inches closer to the hilt than was period, but these changes make it more comfortable to handle than a period sword would be.

At half the price of any comparable competitor's sword this delivers at least equal quality.
