Simple, elegant and agile – One of our most iconic longsword the “Talhoffer” is based on real museum findings and exhibits of XIV-XV. century Oakeshott type XVa swords. Our goal was to make a sword, which has a perfect size and handling characteristics for the early German longsword traditions. The design faithfully reflects the spirit of Johannes Lichtenauer‘s age and illustrated in many sources, such as the manuscript of Peter von Danzig or the Talhoffer fencing books. – designed by Zoltán Berkes.
