Great jacket. Looks great, well built, & sturdy.
It's a bit shorter than I expected, as in it doesn't go past the waist as much as modern jackets/shirts do, but in all imagery of the jacket, it seems that is the intended fit.
10/10

This is an amazing jacket. It fits snugly but not tightly and offers decent protection against jabs with training daggers. It's also far less hot and sweaty than I'd imagined it would be.

Fits me like a glove, looks sharp, very lightweight compared to gambesons, shipped out in a couple days from ordering.

The Jessica Finley Ringen jacket is tough and has held up well in the wrestling I've done in it so far. It is a nice looking jacket as well. If I had a complaint it would be that it is a little tough to get in and out of but not prohibitively so.

5 of 5 Very nice jacket, changes the game July 7, 2017

If you've been practicing ringen in a t-shirt and shorts in your backyard, you're dong it wrong (as I was, too).  It's incredibly different to practice in a quality jacket such as this, and allows canonical techniques to make sense and be effective that we struggled to make sense of in our t-shirt ringen days.  Don't worry, though, you can wear the jacket in your backyard, too, even in the summer sun as it's also fairly breathable.

5 of 5 Fantastic, versatile jacket. October 4, 2016

I haven't done much ringen with the jacket, but what I have done I've loved. It's perfect. Close fit, not loose like judo gis, and clearly clearly both European and modern. It is a little tighter around the waist than most clothes, so be careful of that when ordering.

The real reason I love this jacket so much is that I can also use it for fencing. Throw on a rigid chest protector, some shoulders and elbows, and I can go full speed with a longsword. It stings a bit, but I'm not worried about my safety at all. My only complaint is that I wish the jacket were quilted all the way through instead of just the collar, but this jacket is designed primarily for ringen, so most people wouldn't need that I suppose
