Excellent fit and range of movement November 3, 2023 Reviewer: Anonymous Person from N/A   Excellent fit with great movement in the arms. The stiffness of the upper arm foam combined with the roomy underarm gusset results in the material protruding a bit when my shoulders are pulled back, but it doesn't affect how the rest of it sits and moves. It's also cut a bit long in the front, which means it kind of pushes into either the thigh or chin unless you're standing relatively straight - but admittedly it's not particularly a problem unless you're doing really deep lunges (or sitting). It's comfortable, not restrictive, and a very nice balance of light and protective. Was this review helpful to you?

Received Wrong Jacket January 18, 2023 Reviewer: Macayla W. from Plainwell, MI United States   Honestly, I absolutely love my new jacket despite it not being the AP Light, but the AP Plus. I can understand the confusion because the sticker that was on the clear plastic that it came in was labeled AP Light Plus Women's jacket. Which from what I could tell, there isn't an AP Light Plus jacket sold on the website, just an AP Light or an AP Plus. So when I pulled it out and realized that it was not the same style Jacket as my boyfriends AP Light,  I was a little disappointed only for the fact that my jacket didn't have the fuzzy Velcro patch on the sleeves for the elbow guards I ordered with Velcro. So I ended up stitching some on myself, which was no big deal. But I just want to make sure others are aware to double check what they receive, especially since it took about 3 months to get the jackets in. I didn't exchange it since I was in a tournament 3 weeks after receiving the jacket. So all in all, great jacket and great quality, just not an AP Light. Was this review helpful to you?

Custom Fit Is Great November 17, 2022 Reviewer: Sara Hampton   If you're wondering if custom sizing is worth it, it is. The chart is easy to follow, and the jacket fits like a dream. It also only took about a month from order for the jacket to come in, which was an added bonus. Only thing is, forearm protection is extra light so make sure you have a good set of forearm guards before you spar! Was this review helpful to you?

Fits Great and Much Lighter March 16, 2022 Reviewer: Stephanie Howes from Hanover, NH   I had been borrowing the regular men's jacket until I received this one and wow! I'm not burning up after a few fencing matches anymore. I didn't get a custom fit and the jacket fits just fine. Very happy with my purchase. A common problem people have is that it fits snuggly in the armpit but I haven't found it too restrictive. Was this review helpful to you?

Great fit in a beautiful color December 13, 2021 Reviewer: K Wampler-Goodbee from Los Angeles, CA United States   This jacket fits well, despite my weird torso proportions. It's a bit short at the bottom, and a bit long at the wrist, but otherwise fits very well. It feels protective and structured without being too stiff (for a gambeson). It's also relatively cool, which is great since I live in a desert and sweat a fair bit. The navy blue color is lighter in person, but still gorgeous and rich, excellent for when one wants to stand out from the crowd without being too flashy. Only thing: one might want a chest protector since it isnt as thick as the regular SPES AP, and forearm protection is a must. Shipping did take a good ten weeks, which was inconvenient, but given that it was in a custom color and SPES was backlogged, the delay was at least understandable, and it shipped promptly once it reached Purpleheart. Awesome jacket August 9, 2021 Reviewer: Jess   Great jacket, super light and breathable. Only complaint is that it is a wee tight in the arms.
