Keith Farrell is a renowned author in the community. This book clearly explains his thoughts and illustrates them for other instructors, students, or laypersons to try them out themselves.

What a book! August 6, 2016
Reviewer: Samuel Creigh from Springfield, VT United States
This is a fantastic book. Do keep in mind, that this is an actual study guide. It contains info on the history of fighting manuals that are relevant to German fencing, and is a glossary for many of the guards and strikes. While not everything is included (where's abnehmen?) this is nonetheless a deep guide as well as a refresher course for those who practice the German system.

The German Longsword Study Guide has a lot of good information to lay a foundation for studying the German tradition of the longsword. I would highly recommend it, even for people who have already begun practicing!
