The Long-Sword is a weapon that has a long double-edged blade and handle long enough for two hands. This larger weapon enabled fighters to make stronger cuts or powerful thrust against their opponent. These swords were in use as early as the 14th century. The length varied between 40" and 48", with 48" being a common length. Authentic steel weapons weigh from 2.5 to 3.5 lbs. (1.1 to 1.6kg)
I have purchased 2 of these now, the first lasted me 3 years, 560 fights and is still going. I thought to purchase the second prior to the first on failing. I'll be coming back for more.

Excellent Sword with one flaw (for me.)
I had a real issue with this sword. When it arrived, it was absolutely beautifully crafted. The problem was, this was a Christmas gift, and after it arrived, it pained me to give it away. I will have to buy myself one now too.

Great for Beginners!
I'm a beginner, just dipping my toes into HEMA. This longsword was just what I was looking for: something for me to practice with a bit while I decide whether or not this activity is really a thing I'm interested in. So far, so good! When I'm ready to move on to new gear, I'll probably be back.
