Can also be called a a Barbary Sabre.

V2 I made a capped pommel instead of the round pommel like on the Kilij.

The blade does not flex on thrusting, but provides good simulation for moderate level training.

Name: Frank Perrin
Organization: Razmafzar Historical Persian Martial Arts
Item: Shamshir Trainer
Review: I have been training for about three years in Persian Martial Arts and it has been incredibly difficult to find a synthetic trainer with the appropriate curvature and dimensions of traditional Persian Shamshirs. This one fits those dimensions perfectly. It is durable, light, and affordable.
I have been cross training with several hema fighters in sword and buckler as well as longsword, and this weapon has served me well. The para cord grip has provided a safe handling ability and defined curvature has allowed me to execute proper form and technique.

Great practice sword
Got this for my son, and he's been using it for the last couple of weeks. It's very solidly constructed, the weight and balance feel good, and he's extremely pleased with it.

Good Balance and Quality
The balance is good and is the same as a real one. I tried sparring with this against a steel foil and it came out with only minor scratches. That said, I wouldn't advise on sparring against real steel swords with this regularly.
