5 of 5 Good trainer July 11, 2021

I got the Shamshir basic trainer a while back and enjoy using it. This one feels a bit heavier in comparison, but that is expected since the blade is thicker. It’s fun to use and the extra curve can get you with a thrust if you’re not used to it. I will say the end of the blade doesn’t look two sided like in the picture. The cross guard is also a separate piece. (I noticed Purpleheart is updating their pictures, so I’m sure it’ll change soon enough to reflect these changes). I’m not really bothered by these changes and I take it that what I have is the new design.
