Because of the length, there is some flex in this blade. Based on customer testing, that is historic as real steel ones had the exact issues. Its a real long blade. Do not expect this to be perfectly stiff, you must work your training around this. I've talked to many customer.
HEMA guys, I know this is odd, but its how physics work. Folks with an Asian Martial Arts background understand this and adapt to it.

Very Strong for intense training.

Disappointed as I was under the impression that these were modeled after the Owari Kan/Shin Kage Ryu practice nagamaki. However, dimension wise, they are actually shorter than our odachi and the sori(zori) is quite different as well.

Similar in use to a Nodachi, the longer Tsuka offers a wide range of utility for techniques. The flex in the blade is especially nice in our group for thrusts.

out of the box, very nice.  very light compared to my steel one.  blade is as thick as a wooden waster and shorter than a sidesword.  Handle is appropriate in length.  Looking forward to doing some sparring.
