I ordered this on the 23rd of December, and was quite excited to make my first purchase from this particular dealer of training weapons. Waiting for 4 weeks was understandable, considering the time of year. Once it arrived, though, I was more than satisfied at the initial look: very professional!
The leather hand-guard, especially, took me by surprise because of its stiffness. The blade itself, has been more than satisfactory during training. The blade, though warped nearer the tip, has not impeded me at all. The grip might prove to irritate the skin with continued friction. I would recommend gauntlets during its use. Held together by a threaded ball pommel, it allows for the kind of customization any aspiring swordsman would need.
Once it gets here, I hope to try and use the shortsword crossguard to turn it into a scimitar trainer. I'll update the review with further details once I get my next order.
