5 of 5 Excellet trainer for dual-purpose October 7, 2023

This trainer sword is well build with good quality plastic and is durable enough for practices and light sparing, I also found that this trainer is good for practicing sabre as well as a arming sword because of it's strange blade and height.

4 of 5 Blade heavy August 13, 2022

It's too blade heavy, not nimble enough to be considered a real spadroon and the blade is too wide. Otherwise very sturdy and good quality.

5 of 5 Great trainers May 17, 2022

The shape of the handle makes them very comfortable to hold, and though they feel heavy at first when it came to sparring I didn't notice the extra weight.

5 of 5 Spadroon Trainer August 18, 2021
Reviewer: Connor from PA United States
I purchased this spadroon trainer about a week ago and waited until it got some use before I reviewed it. It is an incredibly tough trainer with only one flaw in my opinion, which may not bother everyone. It is a little forward heavy for a spadroon, and handles a bit more like a broadsword. If the weight of the blade could be reduced, it would be much more accurate to swords like the 1840 NCO. Aside from that I cannot praise this tool enough. The knuckle guard was one of my first worries, but it is very secure. The sidesword guard included is a perfect simulator of the kidney guard on many, many spadroons. There is enough flex in the blade that a geared-up sparring partner has no worries about taking a thrust. Lastly, the grip wrap is tight and extremely unlikely to become loose with age. If you’re looking for a fun sword to emulate the military sidearms of the 1700s to 1900s, this is a great option!
