PBT HEMA Warrior Reinforced mask 1600N - Made in Hungary.

Only full cover available for this mask is the Warrior Cover, other brands do not fit. Does work with back-of-head only options below.

Click for Sizing Guide (sizes run small because of amount of padding inside the mask, if you are close to the next size up, choose that one)

Very strong and durable 1600N resistance (bib only) mask with extended mesh at the back and extra steel reinforcement at the forehead.

PLEASE NOTE:
Newton rating is for the bib only, mask mesh is rated at 1000N like any sport fencing mask. This rating does not make this mask safer or less safe than the AF, the main difference is the padding inside the mask.

Suitable for Feder and longsword fencing as well.
Stainless steel, extra long mesh for higher protection of the back of the head.
Safety steel reinforcement inside the mesh to provide an even more durable solution against the continuous hits.
Padded backpiece (tongue).
Extra PVC band at the forehead prevents the head from sliding forward.
Developed comfort foam inside with safety bib.
Size 1 for average adult, size 2 for large head. Please take into consideration that SIZES ARE SLIGHTLY BIGGER THAN OUR STANDARD MASK'S.

Mesh: 5 cm longer at the back than regular mask's
Average weight: 1,80 kg
Weight: 4.2lbs (1.49kg)

Very limited warranty on this mask. We have seen many hold up and last, and other will see damage that you will have to repair yourself. Because a mask is rated 1600 N does not mean it cannot dent. Unfortunately there are hits that are stronger than what the mask can bear, it is unfortunately not warranty case. It is independent of the duration of use.
Sizes run small because of padding inside mask, consider this when choosing between Size 1 and Size 2 (size 1 is our most returned item because of this)
If you wear glasses, this mask also causes problems. The extra foam pushes the glasses around when you put the mask on.

Mask Weight Comparisons for Medium/#1 Sizes.
PBT #1 = 3.2lbs (1.45kg)
PBT #1 Warrior = 4.2lbs. (1.9kg)
AF Basic Medium = 2.6 lbs. (1.18kg)
AF Deluxe Medium = 4.4 lbs. (2 kg)

Exposed rivets
It seems to be a good helm except in one major regard. The elastic band that holds your head in place is secured by two rivets on either side of the mask on the inside. These two rivets are directly over my ears and they are exposed. They rub on my ears when putting on or taking off the mask and while wearing it. I am pretty sure that if and when I take a blow to side of my head my ears will be in

No more need for mouthpiece i guess
I'm relatively new to HEMA so I can't say I understand much in equipment, but my coach says that the mask is good, and one other thing I noticed is that extruded mask mesh does work (comapring to my clubs public masks), so no more waffle marks on the face after sparring sessions and I feel like I don't have to worry about keeping my teeth safe since the mask handles hits pretty well

Replacing after 4 years
I bought this mask in 2019 with the back of the head protection. It has done me well for 4 years, but the rivets holding the inner strap on have broken, so I am replacing it. It will definitely make sure your head stays safe. I have been clobbered while wearing it, and felt nothing. Its also nice to know that you have an extra few inches of steel preventing an accidental back of the head it.
