Falcata Synthetic Trainer V2

From Iberian (Spanish), this design works well for similar Greek weapons such as the Machaira or Kopis. It has a very forward balance point for a different feel for a sword. It has been referred to as "an axe with a handle".

What's in a name?
The nomenclature for this weapon is difficult. If it is found in Spain or Italy, it is called a Falcata, which refers to the hooked shape in Latin. If it is found in Greece, it can be interchangeably called either a kopis ("cleaver") or a makhaira (a general term for any curved blade). These are all the same weapon by different names.

Balance/Handling
I truly love handling the sword; practicing the scale with either hand, combinations, etc. My son, who is quite the swordsman wants one for himself.

Great Sword
I am very happy with the sword I received. It was exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately, the shipping was ridiculously overpriced ($50+) for a very light training sword, and took a long time to arrive. I thought with the high price I was paying for shipping, it would arrive much sooner than it did. Otherwise... great!

Good!
The only problem I have with the sword is how effective the design is against other swords of the era. The build itself is very good.
