Type III Pentti 45.5" Longsword with fuller and disc pommel
Great Review
Features
This longsword was designed to be a bit lighter than our normal 50" longsword. The grip is slightly thinner for smaller hands. The fuller keeps the weight back making this and quick deadly blade.

For best performance, store them as you would a steel sword when your equipment is not in use: in a cool, dry environment and resting flat or hanging by the crossguard. Heat, humidity, and resting a weight on top can all cause the blade to bend and take an undesired set. Treat it well, and this tool will serve you for years with almost no maintenance.

The Purpleheart Type III synthetic longsword was designed for use in the study and training of approximately late 14th century to early 16th century two-handed longsword fencing. Examples include Fiore dei Liberi, Sigmund Ringeck, and Joachim Meyer.

Great, except cross guard October 7, 2018

The sword is, functionally, absolutely fantastic. I did some light sparring with a friend of mine, and it worked quite well. Aesthetically, everything is great except the cross guard, and where it meets the handle. It's not like it was hidden when ordering it; I'm just being nit picky. I wish the guard and that section were designed with more care in regards to the looks of it.
