Product Code: Short.Sword.H
This one-handed medieval sword was typically used in association with a shield. Sometimes called an arming sword when used by a mounted knight, it was used on battlefields from the 12th to the 15th century. A roundel or buckler was also common among fighters of that time.Order any 4 wooden shortsword wasters and receive 15% off your order. Discount applied automatically at checkout.

Worth it
This is my second waster, the first being the two hander I purchased circa 2003. In comparison, the cross guard is a bit larger and the blade feels a bit beefier. I also wish that the new one came with the Purpleheart Armory logo burned into it, as did the first. These differences are minor. Love the new sword. Would recommend anyone to get your hands on one—you won’t find better.

Another great waster
Wonderful sword team. Works great with many gloves, solid strike feedback, grip shape is pleasing, lovely styling and finish. Great when paired with great be of their wood long swords. Grab a buckler and have some fun. Great price and service as usual.

Sturdy
Have had one for 8 years, has taken me though multiple reenactment organizations through sparring demos, rough use by kids, and "throwing demo" by a fellow reenactor. Came though with nary a dent.
