Excellent training weapon for "Le Jeu de la Hache" - ("Axe Play") and much of Talhoffer's work. This is a rubber headed weapon that can absorb some of the impact during use. Armour and protective gear is required to use the weapon. Consult your instructor or safety official before using this weapon.

Some of the exclusive enhancements to this product include: Purpleheart Armoury designed hammer head, leather roundel, round rubber blunts on both ends, and a hickory rectangular shaft.

Pole ax
Just used my pole AC for the first time on Sunday. It had great balance and moved very smoothly. He hickory haft held up pretty good with just a few scratches from my gauntlets.

Stop! Hammer time
Bought one of these for armored combat. I got the assemble it yourself version. The fitment of the rubber head is TIGHT. That is great, because it means it won't be sliding around on the haft when you're trying to hit somebody. I sprayed it down with some lubricating spray which made it easy to get on.
