Quarterstaff: One of the most common weapon that is used in most cultures. It is considered a very effective weapons due to it ease of use and long reach. 

Laminated HickoryBy laminating 2 or 3 pieces of hickory you are insured extra strength by the cross grain of the two woods.  Also the risk of warping is reduced.

 

 

Why Hickory vs. Ash Staves (FAQ)

Custom Lengths and Youth Staves To request a custom length, place an order for the next size up and in the order entry comment section tell us what length you would like that staff to be cut down to.  Please allow 1/4" tolerance.  This is a FREE service.

 We can also personalize your staff with custom laser engraving. Your staff can be engraved with a name or picture.  Please email us if you have a special graphic. (Price is $10 for the 1st one and $5 after that unless I have to work on the graphic)staff engraved

Here is out method for strength testing. Notice the strength meter.

Average's:
1"         3 layers:                  570#'s
1 1/4"   Solid:                      585#'s
1 1/8"   Solid:                      664#'s
1 1/8"   2 layers:                  732#'s
1 1/16"   octagon: 2 layers     591#'s (shown in photo)

The 1" is the lowest, but also the thinnest, and is much stronger per square inch.
