An excellent sword December 8, 2017
Reviewer: Nicholas Tockert from Laporte , IN United States
I received a Venetian Infantry Tactical trainer for my birthday. It is by far one of the best synthetic swords on the market, and one of very few to both accommodate a lacrosse glove and AN ACTUAL KEYHOLE GRIP.  Not since I moved the Historical Fencing Guild away from schlagers and heavy rapiers to synthetic swords have I had the level of control that this weapon affords. It is not quite perfect as the gaurd is rather small (and was interestingly attached), and the blade is quite stiff for a thrusting weapon.  I am hoping for some slight modifications to the guard in later versions  (and the possibility to purchase such for mine).
However, at this price I cannot complain (nearly half that of a rawlings usually l) it is sturdy enough to hold up rigorous blows from a twohander and as implied earlier, remarkably agile for those of us of more of a classical fencing background.

Venetian Infantry Sword December 8, 2017

It seems like an odd sword with such large side rings but once you put a glove on and use it, it makes perfect sense.

The sword could be a little longer but that's fine.

We use it for sidesword but it could be used for many other situations as well.
