The outside part of the palm and fingers are also protected by the overlapping plastic elements made of polypropylene. Polypropylene represents a high resistancy to cracks which guarantees a higher durability and resistance.

The 11cm cuff made of fabric is reinforced by six covered with leather elements which aim is to protect the wrist’s bones.

On the wrist there is also a leather belt with a buckle which enables the fencer to better adjust the glove to fit the palm.

The inner part of the gloves is covered with synthetic leather. The quilting of the gloves provides additional amortization against the hits.

Now thanks to our heavy gloves, trainings with heavy weapon, feders or dussacks will become much safer.

No better place to spend your money May 19, 2016

I got these after breaking my finger with Red Dragon gloves.  While the Red Dragon gloves provide decent protection and reasonable mobility, these things are beastly and will keep my hands nice and safe.

They are big and have bulk but it's easy to grip the sword and the movement is really good especially the wrists-

Unparalleled protection May 3, 2016
Reviewer: Ryan Hobbs from Dublin, GA United States
The protection these gloves offer is amazing. After hours of intense free sparring with steel, only once was I given a blow that actually hurt (a weird hit on the thumb knuckle). The only complaint is the lack of finite control; the control isn't necessarily bad, but you can notice the lack. Grappling can sometimes be challenging, and if you end up on the ground wrestling you'll be at a severe disadvantage if the other person has more agile gloves. But, as always, there is always the trade off between mobility and protection. Especially if you're a beginner and aren't good at protecting your hands and fingers yet, or just don't want to risk an injury, then I would definitely recommend these gloves.

SPES Heavy Gloves V1.0 - Pair April 30, 2016
Reviewer: Michael Loughridge from Tucson, AZ United States
These are much better than the gloves I was previously using, very comfortable, great fit, and seems to be great protection based on just a few sparrings with metal longswords. (As I am just a beginner the protection really helps while I am learning proper technique!) I think I will be very happy with them, but for now they are 5 stars for sure.

Gauntlets April 13, 2016
Reviewer: robbows from Leongatha , victoria Australia
Fantastic hand protection. Great inner gloves and top qlt stitching. Strong learher strap. Ill file off some of the plastic to facilitate my hands and how i hold my sword. Almost all gauntlets need some minor adjustments
