SPES Vectir Forearm and Elbow Protectors Version 2.0 - Pair

  • The Forearm Protectors decrease risk of injury for historical fencing. They are made of sturdy fabric with super-hard low-profile plastic inserts. The design was developed and tested in conjunction with the historical fencing school VECTIR, located in Poland.
  • The Shell Elbow Protectors are an extension to the forearm protectors for more complete arm protection. The elastic Velcro straps allow you to adjust the elbow protectors as necessary in order to ensure a secure fit and full protection.

One Size, Black Only.

Vectir” Forearm and Elbow Protectors v.2.1 (04/2016):

  • added holes (via holes) in the plastic element which allow additional binding to ensure better adjustment and keeping the protector in place

Version 2.0 Updates

  • Better protection as a single-element elbow protector made of polypropylene.
  • Better fitting PP bowl for the elbow (elbow element no longer sticks out from the arm).
  • Elements overlap, eliminating the gap between elbow and forearm in the previous version.
  • Additional elastic tape on the back of elbow to increase secure fit.
  • Velcro tape mounting on forearm gives ability to adjust the whole protector length.
  • Elbow detaches, allowing for more choices in the level of protection desired.

SPES forearm ans elbow guards April 19, 2017

Nice production. Good protection. Needs a little extra padding on the elbow guard if you use them without a long sleeve shirt or gambison. Very nice piece of protection.

These are good, but a few tweaks needed.... March 6, 2017
Reviewer: Dana from ]NM United States
These offer very good protection from the elbow to the wrist. They are comfortable to wear, and the padding is sufficient to reduce felt blows. My main complaint is the difficulty in putting them on.. It is fairly difficult to do by yourself, and can leave the cuff loose, or off kilter.

For SCA use? January 26, 2017

A great basis for Society for Creative Anachronism heavy armor elbows. The elbow cops need some padding and it comes with holes for mounting a rerebrace to the upper arm. If your handy at crafting this should be no problem.

Great forearm protection December 12, 2016
Reviewer: Jerrod Miller from Spokane, WA United States
The only downside to these is that the elbow guard is a bit un-padded for use without a jacket.  A removable pad that keeps it from digging into the soft spots on either side of the elbow would make this outstanding.

Good Basic Protection November 23, 2016
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Annapolis, MD
This product provides good basic protection at a reasonable cost. Unless you are going for something with an historical look, then these would be a great option.
