Great for melee June 8, 2017

So we switched to these for spear practice mainley for the price. They hit hard since they don't have any give, but thats what we were looking for since the cold steel spears are too floppy for group melee's and people didn't register any hits. So if your wearing a gambeson or a gambeson and armour these should work for you.

Also these make great javelins, if your club allows thrown weapons.

Protects the shaft, the target and the floor is rests on, if training indoors.

Needed August 30, 2016

These are needed, in my opinion, for pole arms. I wish they had a bit more give designed in. Or a clearer delineation of how deep to mount.

Nice piece March 24, 2016

Took a bit of work keeping the cap on (ended up drilling through stave and lacing it on), but I don't think I'll have any issues with it falling off now.

Takes the edge off of thrusts nicely, but for the price, I'm not sure I couldn't get similar results by adapting a cane tip for a portion of the cost. That being said, I'm still pretty happy with it.
