Special note about shipping:  UPS requires extra handling charges for items over 60 inches in length.  The shopping cart shipping amount may not be correct.  We will manually adjust shipping charges to the correct amount.  However, due to the way UPS calculates shipping, I can ship up to 4 staffs (same length) for the same price as 1.  Any questions - please refer to our Ordering Info page or send us an email.

Why Hickory vs. Ash Staves (FAQ)

Laminated Staves:  Our laminated staves are made of select impact grade martial hickory that is laminated together with industrial strength glue.  This creates a cross grain structure that will increase the strength and reduce the chance of warping.

Average's:
1"         3 layers:                  570#'s
1 1/4"   Solid:                      585#'s

Custom Lengths:  To request a custom length, place an order for the next size up and in the order entry comment section tell us what length you would like that staff to be cut down to.  Please allow 1/4" tolerance.  A once per order $2.50 cut fee will be manually added to your invoice.

Bo:  A 5-6' x 1" - 1-1/8" staff.

Jo: Standard dimensions for Jo are 51.5" x 1 inch, but other lengths are available. 

Youth staffs: We can customize the length of the bo to your child's size.

Hanbo:  This is a 36" staff.
