Dadao:
The Dadao
sword was used by the Chinese military during the Japanese invasion of
China in the pre-WWII era and celebrates a Chinese victory at the battle
of the Great Wall, in which the Dadao and the Katana were actually
pitted against each other.

We use
select impact grade hickory that gives this sword a solid feel and
balance very similar to a steel equivalent. We used jatoba a deep
red hardwood for the pommel and guard to accent the quality of the
piece. Using our exclusive design we are able to lock the guard
with the shoulder to give it extra strength if the guard get hit. This
will prevents it from becoming loose. A special thank you to Jake
from Kingston
Ontario
who practices Yin Fu Bagua and greatly helped with the design of
this sword.
Thicker Handles:
We did this as a special
option. We added slates to the handle to make it 15/16" thick and
1-7/16" wide. This is thick, but a historic and very specific
upgrade, so be sure
this is what you want when ordering.
Custom

interested in this. Use your imagination, but it will add about $10 to
the tsuba if you provide me with a hi resolution black and white
